Nowadays, spam is the bane of our lives. How often do we log in to our email client to be bombarded with unsolicited mail?
In order to help prevent your e-newsletters ending up in the trash can, by adding a link to your privacy statement will further gain your clients trust.
However, there are a few examples that are considered bad form …

Having been deeply saddened by the recent tragic loss of conservationist and animal lover, Steve Irwin, we felt motivated to do something to help keep his ‘mission’ alive.
The Australian Rainforest Foundation is a fantastic not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to education, research and habitat rehabilitation and offers a great gift idea - ‘BUY A TREE’. In doing so, you will also do ‘your bit’.
Visit www.arf.net.au. You can buy a friend or colleague a tree and they will get a special certificate indicating where their tree is planted, the type of trees and also information on the creatures that live in the gift area.
For any existing client out there who buys a tree(s), go ahead and email the Studio and let us know your certificate code number and we’ll match one tree with one hours FREE work*.
For the cynics out there, yes we have bought trees!
* we’ll knock $55 off your next bill

For a coffee-holic, it is very exciting when you come across a coffee bean that delivers what it says on the label - great flavour, strength and a lingering taste. You should try the range from ‘Five Senses’.

A lot of people ask “where the hell is Kirup?”.
Kirup is a small town (approximately 190 people) in the lower south west of WA. The main industry is fruit and the town is known for either the famous ‘Kirup Pies’ or ‘Kirup Syrup’ - the latter, a highly potent blend!
I must admit work life is interesting - juggling phone calls with the noise of an ever present flock of cockatoos outside the studio, a sloooooooooow internet connection (thanks, Telstra) are just part of the working day.
I wouldn’t swap life here to one in a city - where else can you saddle up your horse and go for a ride when suffering from a ‘block’ or watch roos outside your studio window? I do miss the city occasionally, after all a girl has to shop but for the most part, life here is dandy.
The working day starts early (around 6.30am) and is interspersed with ‘feed duties’ - a brief time each day when I feed the ever expanding menagerie. So far, we have 2 horses, 2 Alpacas, 2 huge dogs, 2 Siamese kittens, 9 chooks, 2 domestic ducks, 62 wild ducks and the new addition of at least 7 ducklings.
So long as I have a regular supply of my particular blend of coffee bean to hand, then the day promises to be good.

It seems that Google’s market share continues to grow and it appears to be MSN who is losing out. From figures, released by Net Applications, MSN have dropped from approx 10.39% August 2005 to 6.60% for the same time this year for overall market share.
Users seem to be migrating to Google helped by the fact that ‘adsense’ has appeared to grow steadily over the last year. More and more people are clicking on the sponsored links to find what they are looking for.
As Google continues its dominance in the search market, the search engine that seems least affected is Yahoo.
